Caricature Illustration
These caricatures are full studio endeavors which take much planning,
sketching and research before the actual execution. Court's goal in
these is to get the best likeness possible while exaggerating the
subjects into grotesque, comical, or absurd versions of themselves.
Most of these pieces are done in oil paints, gouache, or digitally
on Adobe Photoshop or Corel Painter. He tries to treat each project
with the same respect, diligence, and attention to composition as
a work of fine art. Some of these are personal pieces, but many are
commissioned illustrations.
Traditional and Conceptual Illustration::
In addition to Court's caricature and humorous illustrations, he
frequently does more realistic, or traditional renderings for publication
or production and conceptual design for film and television.
